Job Description

The Kindle Content Conversion team converts content like books and magazines to Kindle using sophisticated mathematical analysis and advanced software algorithms for imaging technology and document analysis. 

As part of this team you will get opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies in document analysis & image processing, layout engines, in-memory document models, and design end-to-end applications to create innovative solutions. Expect to be challenged!

Basic Qualifications

• Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design, Distributed Systems, Transaction Processing, Search and Information Retrieval and Operating Systems.
• Be able to write Amazon quality code in an object oriented language.
• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/Ph.D degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Design and build extremely reliable, scalable and high performing enterprise systems in about one-third the time that most competent people think possible.
• Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design, Distributed Systems, Transaction Processing, Search and Information Retrieval and Operating Systems.
• Be able to write Amazon quality code in an object oriented language.
• Bring 2-4 years of software engineering and product delivery experience, with strong background in algorithms and high performance distributed systems.
• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.
