Search Technology Center – India (STC-I) is one of Bing’s few global R&D centers that is focused on building Core Search technologies.
Segments team is all about understanding the verticals, building deep understanding of entities, and powering user experiences that use this in-depth knowledge. For example, searching for a sports team will not only give relevant links about that team, but will also tell you the upcoming games by that team, venues, directions, and even a quick way to purchase tickets. While sports is an example, we provide a rich experience for a number of segments. Understanding user’s intent behind a query, working with massive amounts of data, developing sophisticated machine learning techniques etc. to provide rich data and experience for the user is a hard engineering challenge. If you like such challenges, and want to work on web scale systems, big data analysis, machine learning, search algorithms, information storage and retrieval, defining new experiences, then you might be the right candidate!
Qualifications:
Technical:
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in C/C++ or equivalent languages
• Sound fundamentals in CS/Math and Data Structures
• B.Tech in CS or equivalent
• Knowledge in search-related technologies, machine learning is a plus, but not required
People Management:
• A minimum of 2 years of experiencing managing
