About the Role and Responsibilities

Job Title: Software QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore,Karnataka

Basic Function and Scope of the Position

- Write and execute test cases, test suites and test plans

- Define, drive and deliver on Quality through all stages of SDLC

- Ability to create, modify and review automation test scripts

- Provides technical input for test automation design, analysis, process improvement and troubleshooting

- Executes tests using manual & automated tools

- Utilize existing & innovative test technologies to develop product testing strategies

- Good understanding of QA automation tools, processes and concepts including defect life cycle, defect classification guidelines, Test Script preparation, testing methodologies

- Excellent communication skills, ability to make and influence decisions, and drive open discussions to a closure

Qualifications

- B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or similar field

- Expertise in testing concepts and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Test Driven Development)

- Coding or Automation skills in Java, Python or Perl

- Working knowledge in automation tool like QTP or Test Complete

- Working experience on Windows and Unix platforms

- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in testing and delivering software

- Ability to review and improve/optimize test coverage/strategy on an ongoing basis

- Takes responsibility for one’s deliverables. Plans and organizes his/ her work around these deliverables

- Ability to pick up new technical skills and apply them immediately

- Candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills and must be a strong team player

- Candidate must have a good attitude towards work and must be self-motivated
