About the Role:


Candidate will be working as Software QA Engineer for McAfee Email Gateway product.

Key Responsibilities:

McAfee Email Gateway are a team of highly talented engineers that engineer code to industry best of class standard, supplying email protection to a variety of McAfee customers world-wide. As a member of the QA team, you will perform analysis, development and testing tasks on components, infrastructure, tools and release deliverables. This position represents an excellent opportunity to join this core team in serving multiple internal product customers in the security software market.

Qualifications

Required Experience / Skills Required &Education

- 3-7 year of experience in software engineering and quality process
- Experience in Automation and Manual testing
- Experience in application level network programming (HTTP,FTP,POP3)
- Analysis of software requirements, planning of functional and non-functional tests
- Automated test techniques and frameworks
- Maintenance of development and testing environments
- Proven development experience: Perl / Python
- Experienced with Linux /Unix
- Reusable component design
- Excellent communication skills - fluent written and verbal English

Desirable
- Agile Scrum
- Test/Management tools - in particular Quality Center, Bugzilla, Version One
- Knowledge of Mail and associated protocols

About the Role:

This person will be responsible for architecture and design/development of next generation of firewall features on McAfee’s IPS/Firewall Products. This position is suited for candidates with a strong networking background having worked in switching, routing, data center or enterprise backbone appliances and systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Will be responsible for driving the architecture and design of the routing and firewall software on McAfee’s IPS/Firewall Products.

· Will need to lead and deliver projects in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.

· Works with product management, development and quality assurance teams to help define and implement quality solutions that meet customer expectations

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Qualifications:

· BE/ME (Computer Science) with minimum of 10 to 15 years of work experience

· 7+ years of experience in architecting, designing & implementing large scale networking/security software and hardware products.

· Experience with networking technology such as Ethernet switching, IP routing protocols, and network security is a must

Ability to analyze requirements, prioritize and translate requirements to design specifications.

· Able to assess, evaluate new technologies and their applicability to McAfee’s products.

· Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus

· Translating usability and field research findings into design improvements.

· Strong ‘C’ Programming Skills and data structure concepts.

· Should have an in-depth knowledge of OS’es like Linux and VxWorks.

· Working knowledge of IPv4/IPV6 a must.

· Detailed understanding of TCP/IP fragmentation, segmentation, reassembly and TCP Internals.

· Prior experience in developing Firewall, NAT and routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, BGP) is a must.

· Effective oral & written communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.

· Ability to coach/train engineers to follow good architecture/system design practices
