About the Role:

Candidate will be working as a Senior Technical Specialist in Test with McAfee Labs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Primary Responsibilities include design, development, unit test, as well as debugging and bug fixing.

· The role is as a part of a high caliber team that operates using modern development and agile delivery methodologies.

· Work closely with project stakeholders to drive quality through all stages of SDLC from design to implementation

· Participate in Design Reviews and Code Reviews

· Utilize innovative test technologies to develop product’s testing strategy

· Ensure testability in product features and measure code coverage data regularly

· Hands-on authoring of test cases and execution combined with tool development

· Responsible for designing and developing automated tools or frameworks for highly optimized and effective test coverage

· Perform debugging and troubleshooting in variety of local and remote testing environments as well as in the field as required

· Self-motivated with the ability to stretch in times of need.

Qualifications

Required Experience / Skills

· Fluency in one of C, C++, Java with knowledge and understanding of one of Python, Perl

· Experience designing, building, testing and supporting large-scale distributed systems in a production environment

· Knowledge of networking and Internet protocols (eg. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, FTP)

· Knowledge of databases

- Experience in developing automated test frameworks

· Experience in troubleshooting system level issues and excellent problem solving skills

- Demonstrated proficiency in creating test tools, designing test cases and contributing to effective test planning for networking products

· Education: BS (Computer Science or scientific discipline). MS is a plus.

· Experience: 8-12 years in Software Product Development (emphasis on Testing)

Desirable

· Strong hold of a variety of modern programming languages and open-source technologies (Linux, Mongo DB, Hadoop)

· Experience in Information retrieval and Machine learning, large-scale analytics systems, or any high throughput and highly available systems, is a plus

· Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.

About the Role:

The Technical Lead will be working with the SA (Site Advisor) and MFP (McAfee Family Protection) product teams. · At least 9+ years of having designed and developed applications with at least 2 years of experience (hands-on) in building mobile application in at least 2 platforms; should have worked on Android and iOS a plus.

· Good understanding of the various mobile platforms Android, iOS.

· Strong knowledge of Java.

· Inclined towards learning PHP.

· Experience in architecture, design and building mobile client based applications for multiple platforms.

· Strong knowledge of OOA and OOD with exposure to Design Patterns

· Excellent experience in preparing detailed plans and driving quality initiatives like coding guidelines, unit testing, best practices within the development teams

· Excellent experience in analysis of features and impact of the feature based on the mobile platform

· Experience in conducting code reviews and help improve quality through early detection

· Experience in understanding various non-functional aspects in mobile application design and provide a solution to optimize battery use, performance, scalability, security etc.

· Effort estimation and effective time management

· Handle escalations and handling extreme pressure

· Participate in Hiring talented individuals

· Good communication skills, having worked with multiple teams in offsite locations a plus

· Having an understanding of the backend technologies is a plus
